We Pride Ourselves on Customer Satisfaction
Through high quality workmanship and reliable construction
We have worked with Greenham Construction on many contracts throughout the last 15 years. The contracts have all been within JCT range of contracts including design and build. Greenham Construction are always very professional in their approach and management of each contract. They achieve the contracts through competitive tender mostly, but also through negotiation. In every case they produce building works of high standard, with their very competant site managers and tradesmen. We will always invite Greenham Construction to join a tender list. If further information is required, please do not hesitate to contact this practice.
This practice has worked with Greenham Construction on a number of construction projects ranging from small extensions to homes for individual clients, an extension to a Parish Hall and commercial projects. In each case Greenham Construction secured the project through competitive tender and in each case produced a high quality of construction through their very competant team of managers and tradesmen. I would have no hesitation in placing further work with Greenham Construction.
I have been asked by Mike Byrne of Greenham Construction to provide a reference regarding our experience of working with him. We have worked with Greenham Construction on three projects. They have varied in value from approximately £10,000, to £20,000, to £100,000. In each instance the above contracts have been won by competitive tender, with Greenham Construction being the lowest tender. We have been very pleased with the quality of work carried out by Greenham Construction to date and have found them both diligent in their work and co-operative throughout the construction process. We have generally dealt with Mike Byrne on a day to day basis and have found him both pleasant and helpful throughout. I am happy to answer any further questions regarding our experience with Greenham Construction and would be happy to take a telephone call if helpful.
I am pleased to give this Contractor a reference and would confirm that they have recently completed a contract under my control at 242 Earls Court Road, London SW5, in a satisfactory manner. Project Details: Modernisation and extensive conversion of three existing one-bedroom flats into 3 two-bedroom flats with new kitchens, bathrooms and central heating. The work involved extensive refurbishment including full decoration and finishing of the flats and common parts, to a state where they were occupied. The internal finishes included new purpose made built-in wardrobes, storage cupboards and vanity units. Careful liason was necessary so that the works, which were being carried out over a working restaurant, did not disrupt that business. This was achieved most successfully. Contract Value: £130,000. The work was carried out under difficult conditions with restricted access and severe parking restrictions. Despite this, the work was carried out with refreshing willingness and completed to a very good standard. The site personnel were pleasant and helpful at all times. The management style of the Contractor was also helpful and this led to the satisfactory resolution of some technical difficulties that arose during the course of the work. I would be quite happy to recommend this contractor to my own Clients for future work.
We are pleased to confirm that our practice intends to include you on future tender lists for work which we undertake in the areas in which Greenham Construction operates. The Art Department extension and alterations for the Mary Hare School, were completed to the satisfaction of our client and ourselves and we were particularly impressed by your co-operative approach and willingness to adapt to the client's requirements where these were modified during the course of the works. We encountered no difficulties of any significance in respect of cost control, standards of work or timescale and we look forward to working with you again.
I would confirm that Greenham Construction were the appointed contractors for the refurbishment of the sports hall changing rooms at Desborough School. The work involved the complete stripping out of the old facilities, the replacement of the roof, the formulation of two new fully equipped and functional changing areas where previously only one existed. This included the installation of new showers with the necessary heating equipment and relocation/replacement of the existing electrical control panels. The work was carried out under the direction of the appointed consultant but liaison with the school was carried out efficiently and effectively by Greenhams' on site supervisor on a day to day basis. They were also given some additional work, directly by the school, in association with both this project, and the provision of a new drama studio, which was the other major building project at the time. I have found no reason to fault the work carried out by Greenhams and would certainly include them in any list of contractors for future building works, funded directly by the school. I would thoroughly recommend them, along with their subcontractors, to you for refurbishment work and would be quite happy for them to show you the work they carried out here at the school if that would be of assistance to you. Should you require any additional information, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Greenham Construction has recently completed a large extension to the village hall at Cold Ash. As the hall needed to be used by the village organisations whilst the work was in progress, it was important that the eight week contract period was strictly adhered to, and thereby ensure that any inconvenience was during July and August when the hall is least used. Greenham Construction started on July 1st and the hall was again in full use during the first week in September. We found all the staff to be courteous and considerate to all the users of the hall, and many complimentary comments were recieved. The finished work was well executed and a credit to the company. The management committee would have no hesitation in recommending Greenham Construction for any type of building operation.
Mr Byrne first carried out building work for us in 1998 and has continued to work for us at regular intervals. His first job involved renovating redundant timber framed weather boarded farm buildings and making them suitable for light industrial use. This building with a floor area of appox. 600 square metres had to be totally stripped, insulated and reboarded both inside and out. The building's concrete floor was lowered about three quarters of a metre. Water, electricity and three seperate toilets, offices and catering areas installed, together with the necessary septic tank, etc. He has since similarly converted the ex-grain store. He has arranged for several areas of ground to be levelled and tarmac overed. He has also carried out remedial retiling work to a bathroom, and some structural alterations in two houses of ours. We have always found Mr Byrne to be reliable and very helpful whatever the building problem. His work and that of his employees has always been well carried out and to the standard expected and required for the particular job. He and his employees have always been found to be pleasant, capable, honest, trustworthy and willing to oblige. Mr Byrne has our consent to show his work to anyone, should he wish to do so.
I would like to confirm that Greenham Construction acted in the capacity of sub-contractor in the construction of the main stable block, offices and accomodation of Headley Stud. We have been most pleased with the standard of work and any minor problems were dealt with quickly and willingly. Headley Stud is always admired by all visitors and recognised to be one of the highest calibre sites in the UK.
Greenham Construction have worked with Kennet School to develop and maintain its site for over ten years. They have tendered for complex contracts and won on the fair price to do the job! When developing our front entrance and office facilities, their teams of workmen worked unobtrusively around the school being conscientious not to disturb pupils and staff. Mike Byrne understands fully the time constraints of a school building project and has always delivered on time. Greenham Construction also carry out much of the school’s reactive maintenance. They respond quickly and effectively having a team of skilled labourers or subcontractors on hand. No job is too small. Mike Byrne and his son, Matthew, take a pride in their work and this is reflected in the men they employ. With his daughter, Clare-Marie, in the office, Greenham Construction is a true family business but with a big company reputation. I will always put Greenham Construction on the tender list and always recommend them for any job – no matter the size. Please do contact me if you wish to see the quality of their work.
We recently had our house significantly extended by Greenham Construction and are absolutely delighted with the results. The workmanship was to the highest standard and the tradesmen were always polite and very considerate to the disruption we were going through. They kept a tidy ship which is very difficult on a building site! We would fully recommend Greenham Construction and have already passed their details on to friends and family.
We contracted Greenham Construction to build a large 2 storey extension to our house. We found them competitive, efficient, highly reliable, and conscientious - qualities not always associated with the construction business! They were quick to find a solution for any problem or modification needed in the building process and completed the work on time. We were delighted with the end result and they were a pleasure to work with. Being a family business they showed a real commitment to the job and we have no hesitation in recommending them.
